Fateless Podcast Recap: Why This Minigame Isn’t as Simple as It Looks…

In this week’s Fateless Podcast, Brad and Simon sat down with Charlemagne and Romsy to unpack one of the most important topics surrounding Godforge Quests: how players should think about hero, weapon, and imprint choices ahead of Early Access .

The conversation centered on why Godforge Quests exists in the first place. We wanted a meaningful pre–Early Access experience that rewards our most dedicated community members while keeping excitement high during the gap between alpha and launch. Godforge Quests was designed to do exactly that—offering real progression rewards while encouraging discussion, strategy, and discovery.

A major focus of the podcast was hero selection. Rather than pushing players toward a single “correct” choice, we emphasized that early decisions should balance fun, aesthetics, and long-term value. Guests discussed standout heroes such as Heimdall, Isis, and Viviane highlighting why support and utility-focused kits may offer smoother early progression than pure damage dealers. At the same time, everyone agreed that discovery and experimentation are core to the Godforge experience.

We also addressed why not all kits, numbers, and balance details are fully locked in yet. Godforge is still evolving, and our goal is to avoid steering players in the wrong direction while changes are ongoing. That said, full hero kits will be added to the Godforge website in the future, giving players a clear, factual reference once things are finalized.

Ultimately, the message was simple: have fun, make the choice that excites you, and enjoy being part of Godforge from the very beginning.
