Fateless Video Recap: What we learned from Alpha 1 & What’s coming in Alpha 2?
The first wave of Godforge Alpha is complete, and the numbers are huge. Out of over 5,000 invited players, 96% opened their invite and 95% jumped into the game. Nearly 4,500 players logged in for more than three days, clocking over 45,000 hours of play.
Only 198 players beat the final Stage 150, with the fastest run finishing just over two days after launch. 67% of those who reached Stage 140 eventually cleared it, though many were stopped at Stage 142 by an unkillable Isis bug.
Top heroes at the finish line included Heimdall (powerful to the point of breaking), Shamash (revives + ally attacks), and Zeus. Rare heroes like Ramses, Isolde, and Skadi proved they can carry players deep into endgame content.
The community delivered standout moments—Adventures of Adam completed the game using only rares, while Raven Pyros logged the most hours in Alpha 1. And yes, there were memorable bugs, from Horus fighting Horus forever over Isis, to infinite team loops that trivialized Fafnir.
Survey results were overwhelmingly positive: 80%+ of players were highly satisfied, and 95% plan to return for Alpha 2, which starts August 13.
Coming in Alpha 2:
- Fixes for imprint/passive bugs
- Fafnir difficulty rework
- Memory leak & performance improvements
- UI updates for clarity
