Fateless Podcast Recap: BRUTALLY HONEST Feedback from REAL Alpha Testers
In this past Fateless podcast Brad welcomed returning guests Bran and Zox, plus newcomer Dan (Mongooli Show), for a deep dive into the first hands-on days of the Godforge Alpha. Note: This was recorded at the end of Wave 1.
Podcast Summary
Dan introduced himself as the host of The Mongooli Show on Twitch and YouTube, where he covers gaming and movies. Unlike many creators coming from Raid: Shadow Legends, Dan’s background is in Marvel Strike Force. A friend suggested Godforge, and he’s found its strategy and flexibility refreshing: “I’m not used to this level of variety in character builds—it feels like freedom.”
At this point during Alpha Wave 1, Bran reached level 95, cracking the top 30. With only Aphrodite as a legendary, he leaned on Isolde’s healing + defender synergy and Beowulf’s boss-slaying kit. Zox spotlighted Heimdall, calling him “really OP” thanks to shields, counterattacks, and strong damage. He also praised Skadi, a rare with reliable freeze control and slows. Dan hit level 41 but already unlocked Heimdall and Musashi, giving him strong momentum. Early pulls of Ramses and Lady Xoc also fueled his climb.
All three praised Godforge’s imprint and weapon systems, which let you stack passives and customize builds in ways uncommon in the genre. Bran shared how he built Beowulf as a Brawler with a weapon converting HP to ATK, landing 150k+ hits. Zox called the imprint system “open-ended and exciting for theorycrafting.”
They also touched on balance, bugs, and accessibility. Suggestions included more in-game info (wave counters, buff/debuff glossary), flexibility around duplicate heroes, and camera options to reduce motion sickness during cinematic ultimates.
