Fateless Video Recap: Tips to help you play BETA & Bugs you NEED to be aware of!
Each week, we share a direct update from the team behind Godforge, so you can see what we’re building, what’s changing, and why we’re making the calls we are. Last week, Simon shared a beta tips video after the first week of testing, with more than 60,000 players already jumping in, reporting bugs, sending feedback, and helping us improve the game.
The main focus of this update is helping players get more out of the final week of this beta phase. Simon starts with a reminder to claim the Ryven’s Chosen rewards, including the exclusive beta title, frame, and flare. These rewards are only available during beta, but there is still time for new players to jump in and earn them.
A few of the tips focus on settings and performance. Mobile players may want to use medium or low settings depending on their device, while PC players can adjust FPS and performance options to reduce lag. Some performance issues are still tied to specific hero bugs, so there are areas we know still need work.
The video also walks through several systems that players have been asking about, including promotion, hero unbinding, spirits, ascension materials, ability books, and attunement. Some of these systems are working, but not always as clearly as they should. That feedback is important, because we know there are places where the flow, UI, and explanation can be improved.
Simon also gives practical campaign advice. Stars do not all need to be earned in one run, so players can return with different teams to complete specific objectives. Turning off auto, saving Ultimates, targeting dangerous enemies first, and adjusting team size can all help when chasing turn-count goals or extra rewards.
There are still known bugs in the beta, including mission issues, missing visual stars, gear selling quirks, Guardian gear problems, and some Rift/multi-battle confusion. Some fixes would require players to download a full new build, so we are making careful calls about what gets patched during this beta and what waits for a later build.
