Fateless Video Recap: MASSIVE UPGRADES GETTING READY FOR THE ALPHA!

In our latest video, we shared an inside look at the UI and UX upgrades we’re rolling out for Godforge‘s upcoming alpha. We’ve been deep in playtesting—internally—focusing on how players experience the game. The goal? A cleaner, more intuitive interface that lets the heroes and gameplay shine.

First up, the roster screen. It’s the heart of any hero collector, but ours felt cluttered. We’re refining it to spotlight your heroes while relocating deeper stats—like gear sets and lore—to more focused tabs like the armor screen. You’ll still be able to pin favorites, lock heroes, and check archetypes, but without the visual overload.

Next, world maps are getting a major facelift. Previously placeholders, maps like Ekur and Izumo are now updated and will be bursting with VFX—rippling water, drifting mist, even 3D touches—to make them feel alive while staying 2D at heart.

Godforge UI

Then there’s the battle UI, which is crucial in a tactical fighter like Godforge. We’ve modernized HP bars, affinity icons, turn meters, and ult meters for a sleeker, more readable experience. We’re stripping back redundant info and introducing smarter indicators—like clear cues when switching between heroes with available ultimates.

We’re also working on Pantheon features—not quite ready for alpha, but soon you’ll be able to join Pantheons of your own and interact in a fresh, immersive way.

Godforge UI

All of this is about one thing: letting you focus on the fun, strategy, and depth Godforge offers—without fighting the interface.
