Fateless Video Recap: Founders put to the TEST! Thank you for all the SUPPORT!

Each week, we share a direct update from the team behind Godforge, so you can see what we’re building, what’s changing, and why we’re making the calls we are. This week’s video is a little different from our usual format, as we take a moment to celebrate the third anniversary of Fateless.

Three years ago, Simon, Dan, and Sham started Fateless with a shared vision for the kind of game they wanted to build. Now, with the Godforge beta on track for May 19, this anniversary lands at a meaningful point for the team. We are close to getting players back into the game, and it feels like the right time to look back at the journey so far.

Instead of a standard development update, Rachel (Lady H) put together a founder quiz to see how well the team knows Fateless, Godforge, and each other. The questions covered everything from team pets and favorite games to early YouTube videos, hero trivia, starter hero stats, and just how many work trips Sham has somehow managed to take since the company began.

It was chaotic in the best way. Some answers were surprisingly close. Others were very, very wrong. But the heart of the video is really about the people behind the game. Fateless is a remote team spread across the world, and moments like this help show the personalities, history, and humor that sit behind the work.

This was not a deep dive into a system or feature, but it still matters. Building Godforge has been a long road, and this was a chance to pause, celebrate the team, and mark how far things have come before beta begins.
