Each week, we share a direct update from the team behind Godforge, so you can see what we’re building, what’s changing, and why we’re making the calls we are. This week, Brad is joined by Aaron, BradBodGaming, and first-time guest Nick aka Totally Gacha to talk about campaign feedback from the most recent beta, the direction of campaign changes, and how narrative will continue to shape the world of Godforge.

A major focus of the episode is how campaign should feel as players move through the world. Nick shares that the beta campaign felt mostly solid to him, but that the difficulty spike could be smoother. He also points out that campaign can serve as the place where players learn mechanics, understand the world, and begin building mastery over the game.

The group also talks about story pacing. BradBod enjoyed the campaign narrative, but felt that story beats happened too often during beta. The new campaign direction should help with that by adding more stages, more flow between story moments, and more opportunities for players to stay inside each realm without being interrupted after every single battle.

Aaron explains that this feedback directly shaped the campaign redesign. The goal is to make realms feel more like places players are exploring, not just menus or checklists. Adventure nodes, side stories, hidden encounters, horde mode, campfires, treasure areas, and dungeon unlocks can all help make each realm feel more alive.

The episode also gives more insight into how story will work in Godforge. Voice acting is planned for characters, with professional voice talent intended for launch. Cutscenes should flow more naturally, auto-progress with narration, and be skippable or replayable after players have seen them once.

Aaron also clarifies an important lore point: players are not summoning the actual gods and heroes themselves. They are creating avatars of them through the Godforge. That allows multiple players to have the same hero, and it also explains how heroes can exist in the story while also being used in player teams.

The episode closes with a larger look at the future of campaign. The story players saw in beta was only part of the bigger arc, with more narrative, stronger climax moments, and a final villain still to come.
