Fateless YouTube Video Recap: All the STATS from the first Godforge BETA

Each week, we share a direct update from the team behind Godforge, so you can see what we’re building, what’s changing, and why we’re making the calls we are. This week, Simon shares a first look at the stats and early lessons from Beta 1, with a deeper feedback breakdown planned for the next update.

The first beta brought in around 75,000 accounts, more than double the alpha. That gave us a wider view of how players are responding to the core loop, progression, combat, narrative, systems, and performance. It also showed a much more realistic platform split, with 64% of players on mobile and 36% on desktop, which makes mobile optimization a major focus moving forward.

Engagement was strong. The average beta player played for just under two hours a day, which is close to the long-term target for daily gameplay. At the same time, the top 1% played far more than that, which reinforces the need to keep daily play rewarding without making the game feel like it has to take over your life.

The fun factor was also encouraging. 71% of surveyed players said they were satisfied or very satisfied with how fun the game felt. Nearly half of players completed campaign story mode, and the main motivations to progress were upgrading heroes, earning premium currency, and completing objectives for more rewards.

There was a lot of praise for the narrative, especially the Avalon section, cutscenes, voiceover, and story presentation. Players also engaged heavily with the Gold Emporium, spending 148 billion gold in two weeks, which gives us useful data around both fun gold sinks and pressure points in the economy.

The beta also gave us a clearer picture of what needs work. UI and UX, combat feel, stability, battery usage, mobile optimization, weapons, imprints, bosses, and campaign flow are all areas we are reviewing. Some of these are polish passes, while others will involve more significant changes before the next test.

One of the most important results is that 85% of players felt their opinion was valued and heard. That matters deeply to us. Beta 1 showed that Godforge has a strong foundation, but it also made clear where we need to improve before the next phase.
