Fateless Podcast Recap: From Idea to ACTION! Reimagining Idle RPGs
In this past Fateless podcast, Brad, Sham and Simon sat down with Ori and Ori (Lidarski), co-founders of Heimdall Games, a brand-new studio aiming to shake up the idle RPG space.
Podcast Summary
Both Ori and Lidarski come from a strong background in the gaming industry, having worked at studios like Fanatics and Plarium. After years of playing and building games, they decided to strike out on their own—driven by their passion for RPGs and a shared vision to bring something new to the mobile market. Their first project is an idle RPG inspired by the likes of Raid: Shadow Legends and MapleStory, with a focus on gear sets, strategic progression, and deeper community engagement. Rather than launch with a massive feature list, they’ve opted for a smart, focused approach: a small but playable slice of the game is already in internal testing—and available to join via their Discord.
What sets their project apart? A modern, Western-oriented twist on idle mechanics, layered with RPG depth, meaningful gear choices, and eventually, multiplayer content like clans and co-op boss fights. They’re targeting a full global launch within 18 months, but they’re starting small, listening closely to community feedback, and evolving fast.
