Fateless Video Recap: Everything you need to know about BETA!

Each week, we share a direct update from the team behind Godforge, so you can see what we’re building, what’s changing, and why we’re making the calls we are. This week, we’re focusing on the upcoming beta, what will be available to play, and how your feedback will shape what comes next.

The beta is a major step forward for Godforge, and it builds directly on everything we learned during alpha. A huge amount of changes have already come from player feedback, from UI and UX improvements to hero balance and boss design. The goal now is to take that same approach into beta and continue refining the game with real player input.

There’s a lot included in this first beta. You’ll be able to play through campaign with a full narrative flow in Avalon, alongside progression systems like missions, daily and weekly quests, and rewards. Hero count is now over 200, giving a much broader pool to test builds, team compositions, and progression paths. At the same time, we’re still in a testing phase, which means bugs will exist. The focus now is on fixing higher priority issues while ensuring the experience is stable enough to gather meaningful feedback.

Beyond campaign, there’s a wide range of systems open to explore. Dungeons will be available across affinities, gear, and weapons, along with the Rift system in its current form. Features like the Smithy, summoning, Bazaar, and in-game economy are all active, giving you a full loop of progression to engage with. You’ll also be able to earn beta-specific rewards, including cosmetics and Tokens of Valor that carry forward into Early Access.

Not everything will be included in this first phase. Systems like Arena, Tower, and Pantheons are being held back for a future beta so we can test them properly in isolation.

This beta is about learning. It’s about seeing how all of these systems come together when players get their hands on them, and using that feedback to shape the next phase of Godforge.
