Fateless Video Recap: IT’S BEGUN! F&F ALPHA WAVE IS OVER!
The Godforge alpha is underway, and the community is already shaping the future of the game. In your last video, Simon shared progress from the friends & family test, highlighting standout feedback and what’s changing for upcoming waves.
🔥 What’s Working
- Core Gameplay Loop: Players are enjoying leveling, upgrading, and experimenting with team comps. The experience of building squads and advancing heroes feels “addictive and fun.”
- Visual Impact: VFX like ground-shattering attacks and hero design—especially characters like Pangu and Gilgamesh—received high praise.
- Caverns Mode: Engaging two-star challenges and guaranteed epic drops on floor 20 sparked positive conversation and replayability.
🛠 What Needs Work
- Camera Options: Several testers reported motion sickness or discomfort with default views, especially during boss stages. Feedback is guiding improvements.
- UI & Tooltips: Some features (like using duplicates to awaken heroes or unlocking passives) weren’t intuitive enough. Clarifying tooltips and streamlining systems are in the works.
- AI & Auto-Battle: Current AI overuses big skills on near-dead enemies. Improvements are planned, but likely won’t arrive until after Alpha 1.
- Power Curve & Hero Progression: Players wanted earlier access to epic/legendary upgrade materials. The devs have already adjusted the economy to improve pacing.
Over 200 bugs have been logged—about half newly discovered—and while not all will be fixed for Alpha 1, critical issues are prioritized.
The next phases will bring refined systems, more bug fixes, and later on, a competitive leaderboard event with epic prizes starting September 3.
