Fateless Video Recap: IT’S TIME FOR DUNGEONS, HERO POLISH & MENTAL HEALTH!

Simon shared some exciting updates, covering three big topics: mental health initiatives, polishing progress in Godforge, and the introduction of dungeons.

Mental Health & The Fateless Side Quest

Fateless is running an October challenge called the Fateless Side Quest, partnering with Race at Your Pace to support the charity Safe in Our World, which focuses on mental health in gaming.

  • The challenge encourages participants to “move more” — walking, running, dancing, or any form of activity.
  • Entry is £20, with optional medals and team participation.
  • Progress can be tracked via popular fitness apps.
  • Donations are also welcomed for those who prefer to support without joining the challenge.

Simon highlighted his own fitness journey, sharing how physical activity positively impacts mental health, especially for gamers who often spend long hours at screens.

Polishing Godforge

With the game moving beyond alpha, the team is focused on refining visuals and performance:

  • Hero Models: Upgrades to textures, expressions, and details (examples include Aphrodite, Lancelot, and Achilles).
  • Optimization: Support from Google engineers to improve load times and enhance visuals.
  • Assets & Features: Adding missing elements like Excalibur for King Arthur, ability icons, and refined animations.

The polish process ensures each hero and scene feels complete and immersive.

Dungeons Enter the Game

Dungeons are now live in test builds, featuring:

  • New bosses and environments with stunning concept art.
  • Stage selection and reward previews.
  • Early combat implementation, with abilities and camera work still in progress.

Final Thoughts

The updates show Fateless’ dual commitment to community well-being and game quality. With the Side Quest encouraging healthier habits and Godforge rapidly evolving, there’s plenty for all to be excited about.
